Course Overview

The Less Lethal Impact Munitions (Shotgun) training course includes both a classroom and range component.

The classroom segment covers topics such as proper deployment, tactical and medical considerations, criminal and civil liabilities, and legal aspects related to the use of shotgun-launched less lethal impact munitions.

The range portion provides an opportunity for participants to practice proper deployment of these munitions.

Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion.

Additional Information

Shotguns must not have greater choke than improved cylinder. Pump action shotguns are recommended. Less lethal impact munitions will not cycle semi-automatic shotguns.

Participants will benefit more from the course by bringing a range of impact munitions, including rubber buckshot, drag-stabilized (commonly known as bean-bag), and fin-stabilized options.
